What transportation services does Summit Shuttle Service offer?
We provide ambulatory non-emergency medical transportation across Connecticut for medical appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, imaging, and hospital discharges. Our medical courier service supports labs, pharmacies, healthcare facilities, specimens, supplies, and records.
Who can use the medical transportation service?
The service is open to patients of all ages and backgrounds who can travel as ambulatory passengers. We do not provide wheelchair or stretcher transportation.
What are the current private-pay ride rates?
Summit Shuttle Service rides are $40 base fare plus $3.00 per mile, with a $45 minimum ride charge. Wait time after the 5-minute free grace period is $15 per 15 minutes. Door-to-door escort assistance is available for an additional $15. A no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice is $20.
What are the current medical courier rates?
Courier runs are $30 base pickup fee plus $2.50 per mile, with a $40 minimum run charge. STAT or urgent runs add $50. A no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice is $20. Facility partners can contact us for a custom flat-rate zone quote.
Is Medicaid or HUSKY billing available?
Medicaid/HUSKY credentialing is in progress and is not yet available. Private pay and facility billing are available now.
